December 31 So Long 2005So 2005 is coming to a close and a new year is
ready to take over. I figured to mark the occasion I would look back at some
highlights of the year (off the top of my head of course)
I am sure there are so many more and if you have
the time you can always look back in the blog to read about them.
happy new year everyone and I will post again in
2006!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Break up the Raps!another win on the road!! They have won 4 of their
last 6 and everything is good in Raptor land again.
Mike James and Charlie V are taking the load of
Bosh and the D is starting to pick up. My only complaint is I have not seen a
game in weeks thanks to the blackouts!!

NBA 2005 look back2005 memories, paparazzi-styleNick and Jessica-style breakups no one saw coming: Mr. Sonic Nate McMillan leaves for Portland; Flip Saunders axed by good buddy Kevin McHale. Britney and Kevin-style breakups everyone saw coming: Vince Carter forces Toronto's hand for a ticket out; Larry Brown lands his "dream job.” Weird Katie Holmes/Tom Cruise-style union: Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant say I do, again. Apprentice takes off: Pat Riley re-constructs Heat, replaces Stan Van Gundy. Color controversy: Some fools cite Jamie Foxx's Oscar victory for his lead role in Ray as a form of affirmative action for the cinematic world. In the sports world, others idiotically point out Steve Nash was handed the MVP award because he's white. Sigh. Kiefer Sutherland award: The Bulls and Wizards made long-awaited returns to center stage. Don't look now, but here come the Clippers. lunch12:02pm

BY ROGER EBERT / December 18, 2005
How in the world can anyone think it was a bad year for the movies when so many were wonderful, a few were great, a handful were inspiring, and there were scenes so risky you feared the tightrope might break? If none of the year's 10 best had been made, I could name another 10 and no one would wonder at the choices. There were a lot of movies to admire in 2005. These were the 10 best:
You can read the full article here. getting back to normalWell Christmas has come and gone for another year and things are getting back to normal. Katie just left for Toronto for a few days to see her family and ring in the new year. She will be back late on Sunday night. I am working every day anyways so it is a good time for her to get away. Not much going on today, I am going to take it easy since I am working a long stretch.
Highlights since I last wrote:
that is all for now, I may add some stuff later since I dont think I will feel like it over the next few days.
for you Chappelle Fans, go here to see a funny trailer for his upcoming season 3. December 26 The Crazy Days of Christmas!Hello! well it has been some crazy days of Christmas over here and I am finally getting to some bloggin. First I hope you all had a great Christmas with family or friends or if you are away working (Tone) you had some drinks and some fun.
With all the holiday stuff and starting a new job and working every day it sure has made it tiring but it has been good. Where do I even start?

I started the new job on Wednesday and it has been a tiring but good 2 days. I have learned a lot and still have a lot to learn but I feel I am picking it up pretty good. It is all about learning a new routine and what has to be done when. I will try and do my best to catch you up on everything but I may forget some stuff.
OTHER NEWS
thats all I can think off, funny how you work on a computer all day and now being on one at home is not as enjoyable.
talk to you all later and Merry Christmas if you are off to wherever you are going.
December 22 Please be patientHi all, have not had a lot of time to write, the new job is going well, long day, tiring but fun.
I will update you all tomorrow when I am off and have more time to write.
talk to you all soon December 20 Brush with Fame and a long time crushFrom a msn chat I had with my sister today:
.....the guy that I mentioned before...anyways he is filming a movie and one of the stars is Rowdy Roddy Piper...he put him on the phone the other night to talk to me...I talked to Rowdy Roddy Piper...remember used to have a crush on him..........he is gonna get his autograph for me
talk about an early Christmas gift for my sister. Never FailsJust when I give up on the Raps they go and give hope again. A gutty win without Jose and Charlie V for sure.
They started out pretty bad and by the time I tuned in it looked like it was going to be a repeat of Sunday. They hung in their and showed some toughness that has been lacking. I guess now I have to believe again?
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - The Toronto Raptors have clearly established two things this season: They don't mind playing on the road and they are not afraid to shoot 3-pointers. Peterson and Chris Bosh each scored 19 points for Toronto, which snapped a three-game losing streak. James made a 3-pointer that gave the Raptors the lead for good with 1:16 remaining. Notes: Second-year forward Bosh has led Toronto in scoring 14 straight games. ...
In other news my dad had his hernia operation yesterday and it all went well. I hope the pain goes away now and he can start 2006 all new. I am still sick but I can feel it going away today. Woke up today able to breath through my nose. Perfect timing since I start work tomorrow. I am pretty excited although still not too sure about this bus thing. Oh well I will figure it out. Quite a few cards have been coming in the mail so that is fun, thanks to all who have sent stuff so far. We are pretty much fully decorated and ready for Christmas. Just have to pick up a few things but I am looking forward to it. It is kind of dull looking outside today with some fresh snow on the ground. Good day for going to a mall dont you agree haha. Yep I have to head over there for a few things later so I hope I dont lose my mind.
Katie and I took a gift over to her boss's house last night (they are just around the corner) for the tree they got for us. We had Bosco with us and were invited in. Kara (the boss) has a young daughter just learning to talk and she was very intrigued by Bosco. She could not say Bosco so she kept calling him Bob. As we were leaving you just hear Bye Bob....
I am going to go and get to my list so I can have some time to enjoy this last day off before becoming a working guy again. I think everyone should get several weeks off in a row to unwind and take a break from work. Yeah right, it was enjoyed but certainly not by choice.
have a good day everyone. |
