April 29 Tom Cruise will be happy, Katie is quitting smokingWell it is 8am and I am almost done work for the night. I will be going home to something new today. Katie is embarking on a journey that will be hard for her but I know she will do great. She is quitting smoking today and I just wanted to commend her on taking this step. I personally have no idea what it is like to be addicted to something like that (tea? cheese?) so all I can really do is be 100% supportive and know that any temper swings is the lack of nic talking and not the lovely Rosie.
That is all I am going to say about it since I am sure Katie does not want her battles all over the net. So wish her well one and all.
I just had a slice of pizza for breakfast and it was good. There was some event here yesterday with massive amounts of wheel so there was lots of left over.
Does anyone really care the NFL draft is today??? Didn't think so.
Ok that is all I have to say today, just wanted to throw something up since I will be sleeping all day.
Have a super day everyone.
April 28 Hello sunWell the sun is making an appearance today so that is always a good way to start the day. I know it has been out the last two days but I have been working so I did not really get to see much of it. I am on my transition day so I am heading into my night shifts tonight.
Not much in the news over here in Halifornia but I wanted to check in to give the loyal fans something to read.
I have a few things to do today but other than that it is all about taking it easy and catching up on stuff.
I am in the process of thinking up a new look for michaelcusden.com that will make things a lot easier to find whatever you are looking for. In reality it has just got boring to look at and I always get a little more creative in the spring so stay tuned for that one.
Work is fine, it is actually a perfect mix right now with NHL and NBA playoffs going. A lot of good sports to watch and not a lot of sports to work on. Just enough to keep the day at a nice constant flow of work but nothing crazy.
Anyways I should get out and walk the Bosco cause he is getting pretty impatient making all these little sighs in the hall way as I type this.
have a good day

April 25 Toronto weekend Part II(read previous post first please)
Ok I took a break and did a little outside stuff since it is such a nice day. Now I am back in to finish off this entry.
Sunday
Sunday morning was a rainy one, the kind of day you just want to sleep and be lazy. Good thing for us there was nothing going on until later on in the day so it was a nice and slow start to the day. Comparing tales of the eveing and having some fried eggs and a bagel. There is something that is so relaxing about the Rock ktichen, maybe it is the background tunes or just how nice it is. Who knows really, that should be a whole other blog maybe haha.
Kevin and Angela were coming up for the day and all the ideas I had were kind of negated by the rainy weather. Katie went and took a nap and I hung out and listened to interesting stories about cooking and movies. Jamie is a great story teller and has a great cooking knowledge, I hope the tips I picked up will work out.
Kev and Angela arrived and we hung out with some coffee and tea and everyone got to know Kev and Angela a little better. I gave a tour of the house, Angela looked at some of the wedding pictures of Katie's brothers wedding and it was all very nice and chill.
Casey suggested bowling as a nice idea for a rainy day. So the Katie, Kev, Ang and me got in the car and off we were. It was a lot of fun and it filled the time well. Kev had the form of a PBA bowler and the girls did very well too. I had a few good strikes but did not really do as well as I wanted. After that we drove in the rain down to one of Katie's old haunts, the Varsity Cafe for some food and drinks. The coney island fries with meat sauce on them were great!
We headed back to the Rock house and watched some hockey and chilled out until dinner. As usual they put on quite the spread of food and the chicken was amazing. Lots of teasing about Angela's giant piece of chicken made the evening a lot of fun. We talked movies, science and everything in between. I know Kev and Angela had a great time and were probably a little sad to leave and drive back to London. It was a lot of fun.
After they were off it was only a matter of time before falling asleep. We watched some tv before heading to bed.
Monday
The last day of the trip, it is always a happy/sad kind of feeling. You want to get home but you don't want the fun to end. All we really had time to do after getting up and dressed was to run up to the Danforth for a few things. I picked up a mag and some cash and we were off to the airport. I really enjoyed my stay and want to again thank Jamie and Casey for the great time.
Another cab ride, wow how many is that for the weekend......and we were off to the airport. We chilled out and then did the whole process of checking in again. This time I had to take off my boots going through security! It was a good flight, I napped and read and before we knew it we were back to rainy halifax.
Grabbed our bags, hit the cab and we were home sweet home. I picked up Bosco and the weekend was complete. Tired but happy. We just vegged and watched tv for the night.
thats all.........I hope to do it again soon, thanks everyone.
I survived a little place called TorontoWell I am back! After a nice long weekend in the place so nice they only named it once I am back and ready to blog.
Katie and I if you did not know, went to Toronto for the weekend to see friends and family and to ring in the 30th birthday of one Katie Rose.
I am about to try to wrap it all up nicely so please forgive the length and any tidbits I may of forgotten. For more on this weekend and for more pictures you can also check out The Universe of Rock and TheDrsHolmes blogs. All of the pictures I took are posted on this space too so please give them a look.
Thursday
Once Katie got home from work and finished off whatever packing there was to be done we got in the cab and we were off. For anyone wondering at this point what was done with the Bosco man please check out the Chocolate Dog Blog for that info. Leaving the city we were looking forward to getting out of rain soaked Halifax and to the balmy temperatures were heard Ontario was having. We got to the airport and did the check in thing and it went pretty smooth expect I really got scanned at customs. I had to have my bag heavily checked and had to even loosen my belt. Guess I looked a little sketchy. Once on the plane it went pretty smooth, watched some cool Westjet tv and had a snack. Nothing too exciting. My bag of course was one of the last to come off the plane when we were waiting. Katie's mom picked us up and we had a nice chatty drive home. Man it was a bit muggy but I did not mind.
The city did not seem that different to me, it was still loud and smelly and big. When we got back to the Rocks we had some snacks and chatted and pretty much passed out from a long day. It was nice to be away on vacation and the fun was only starting.
Friday
Friday morning was pretty slow and relaxed. We hung out in the kitchen and had coffee and tea. Katie and her mom had plans to go get their nails done and since it was Katie's birthday she was going to do whatever she wanted. I headed out with Jamie to take care of some pre-birthday stuff, like getting the booze, present and groceries. I really did not add much to this, I was just along for the ride really. Once home we all kind of had naps or rests until it was dinner time. We had home made pizzas that were so good. Meat for the boys and veggie for the girls. This was topped off with some birthday cupcakes that were also very good.
After this Katie and I jetted downtown to meet up with my crew at Finn Mcools. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and catch up. We even got to sit on our first patio of the season. That was great. Thanks to everyone who showed up and helped Katie celebrate the big 3-0.
We took a cab home and called it a night.
Saturday
Saturday started very early for me, I could not sleep so I was up around 7:30am. I came down and the kettle was already on. That was odd. I was sitting at the table when Casey came in the room and I made her jump. I was also up early because I was going as a guest to Jamie's gym for a bit. He goes most days and invited me to go. It was a fun little trip and we played some hoops before coming home.
I again pretty much napped all afternoon and watched some tv while Kaite and Casey met up with Katie's friends downtown for some girl time and shopping. Katie also got her hair done for the big night and looked fabulous! She woke me up just in time to get dressed and head out on the big birthday night on the town.
I won't be able to do this night justice but it was so much fun. Jamie and Casey took care of every litttle detail and it was a lot of fun for everyone. We went to Panorama for drinks and to meet up. For anyone who does not know it is a bar on top of the Manulife center, 51 stories up and has a great view of Toronto. Sadly it was foggy and you could not see a thing. Oh well we drank til we did not care any more. Everyone looked nice all dressed up too.
From here we headed over to the restaurent since we were all pretty hungry. What a nice little place and the food was amazing. The wine was flowing and the gang was getting silly and loud. I had a steak with pesto sauce and some frites. All who had the steak agreed it was amazing. I think Kyle is still drooling.
Presents were opened, speeches were made, tears were shed and all in all it was one of those nights we will all remember for a long time.
We headed back to friends of Katie's for the rest of the night, more drinks and fun was had and finally around 2am it was time to call it a night.
We took a cab home and pretty much fell asleep when we got home.
I need to take a break so the rest of the weekend will be in a new entry!!
I was born a travelin manGoin' Down the Road
Story of desolation as two friends travel from Nova Scotia to Toronto in hope of finding a better life. Drifting from job to job: bottling plant, car wash, bowling alley, newspaper delivery, and in between enjoying the night life of the big city. Their previous life is looking better all the time. This movie is a time capsule of Toronto's Yonge Street - record stores (defunct A&A's), bars, and old neighbourhood side streets.
Ok so it is not 1970 and Katie and I are not a story of desolution but we are going to Toronto this weekend from Nova Scotia! We are not driving and looking for a new life, we are flying and visiting our old life. I do think we have to hit Yonge Street, YONGE STREET! Man I remember that movie from University film class so well.
Anyways yes that weekend is here where Katie and I return to where it all began for a fun and action packed weekend in the Big Smoke. It is Katie's birthday on Friday so that is by far the biggest event of the weekend. Thirty years old!! I know, she is almost as old as me.
We are leaving later on today (5:30pm) and will be there until Monday afternoon so if you don't know it by now and you read this and want to get together, email me! There are enough planned get togethers that I am sure I will see everyone I want to see. I will have my camera with me so be ready for a great weekend wrap up most likely on Tuesday.
How did I survive??
Today was a true test of survival skills for me. Around noon something happened that I did not expect to happen. Our cable modem died! After talking to the Eastlink guy on the phone and making sure there was nothing that could be done, I let the cold, hard reality sink in that I would have to go several hours without internet. No emails, no blogging, no surfing for stock quotes and porn! What was I going to do with the day?? As it turns out I got a lot done without the distraction of the computer calling my name every time an email or IM rolled in. I am at work now and sucking back all the cyber space I can and it feels good. Hopefully if all goes well I will have another modem early tomorrow morning so I can do whatever it is I do all day before we head off to Toronto.
A Moment of Silence please
Last night I noticed one of my fish died. I refered to him as mutant fish because he had grown a lot since i got him. I know it is just a fish but I always get sad and take it very personally when one dies. I need to get out of the bad habit of putting a lot of work into the aquarium when one dies. I need to spend more time on it all the time. So I put some cycle in and changed some water and cleaned up some spots on the glass. Yes I have to do a better job of being a fish owner.
Bosco Lovers Don't Worry
For all of you who are concerned what is happening with Bosco while we are away please let your nerves melt away. He will be staying at the local Canine Casbah.that is just down the street from us. A weekend full of walks and other dogs to play with should keep the Boss from even noticing we are gone. I bet he sleeps all day Tuesday after such a busy time.
Current Info
time: 3:41 am
weather: crappy rain
what am I drinking: tea whats on TV: Dodgeball, Speed 2 and of course sports

have a good weekend everyone. I will check in when I get back and fill you in on what should be a very fun and exciting weekend in the T-Dot. If you need to get in touch with me for whatever reason just email me.
April 18 some thoughtsA long streak came to an end today and I do not mean the St. Lous Blues missing the playoffs for the first time in decades. I bought lunch at work for the first time since I have been working here. It was a classic fast food grab at the local Wendies and it was tasty. A Classic double burger with fries and a coke. Mmmmm mmmm good. So over four months of not eating out at work, wow I could of never done that in the T-dot.
Anyways I thought I would share this little slice of Cusden life.
back to whatever more important things that you were doing.
April 16 Big day on the KlineHappy Easter everyone! I hope there are little chocolate eggs wherever you may be today.
Yesterday was a long, busy and great day over here on the Kline. As some of you may know Katie is turning 30 this Friday and of course that means it is time for some presents! We are going to be in Toronto next weekend so I decided to take care of the present giving early and of course I was excited to get it anyways! For a few weeks now the mystery has been in the air of what it was going to be and for all who know Katie, she is not the best at letting mystery and suprise just be. But I managed to keep it under wraps so that in itself was exciting.
We got up and saw that the sun was out and spring was in the air so we were out the door by noon. Walking downtown through the Commons and enjoying some fresh air. We went to My Fathers Moustache first for some necessary grub. It was a quick and tasty meal that certainly would power us through the afternoon.
Just to backtrack a sec, Canadian Tire called us around 11am and told us our BBQ was going to be delivered today! After 4pm we settled on so that gave us a time frame on the day. We had to be home because the way they deliver, if someone is there to help them carry it off the truck etc, it is 10 bucks off!
Ok back to the day. We left the pub and took care of some banking and we were off. Where too?? Only I knew that. As we walked down towards the water and of course colder and windier temps, Katie was getting curious. Finally we did a walk by of an art store, Loomis. I was hoping to walk by and keep the mystery going, Katie did make a little noise of wonder but we kept going. Then I pulled her back and she pretty much knew then was what going down.
We went to Loomis and the present was to get Katie and easel for painting that she has been wanting ever since I have met her. She was pretty excited and happy! Score one for me! We went in and looked around and she picked out the one she wanted. (see pics of us putting it together) I could see her brain going idea crazy as we walked around the store looking at all the things she could do now. I paid for it, we got a cab and off we were, home to drop it off. So the birthday fun has begun for our future 30 year old!!
Once home we dropped off the box and then went off to our next thing to do. What would a Saturday be without a trip to the Superstore! We have to pick up all the stuff needed for Katie's Easter dinner she is cooking tonight. Not too much stuff but needed of course and we did grab some stuff to break in the BBQ as well. We got that taken care of and now had to get home to meet the BBQ peeps for drop off.
I took a brief rest on the couch and Katie read some newspaper. Just after 4pm the van was there and we had a BBQ! I put it in the backyard and started putting on the last things that needed to be assembled. At this point the weather had taken a turn for the worse, cold and rain was upon us but I was still determined to get the BBQ going!
Now this is where there is a new announcement!! I normally would post the pictures of the new BBQ and me cooking the first dish on it on this site. But the whole event got me thinking about a new idea. A whole new blog dedicated to the BBQ and all that will be cooked on it. So please go check out the new blog I have created, TALES FROM THE GRILL. This will be an ongoing blog about what is cooked on the BBQ and all the links and info you need for your BBQ'ing needs.
Next up was going to get the propane. Luckily there is a gas starion very close by so I went over and took care of that. Got it home and hooked up in no time! It was not quite time for dinner so I had to calm my excitement for another hour or so. What better way to distract myself than to put together an easel!!
Katie and I hit the attic and started to build her new present. It went fairly smooth and I did not get to frustrated. We got it together in probably an hour or so.
Now it was time for the grilling! We had a simple but tasty meal, hot dogs and chili. This BBQ has a side burner on it so of course I wanted to have something to heat up in a pot. The meal was a success and bellys were happy on Kline St. on this day.
The day was capped off watching an ok movie, Two for the Money. I found it kind of funny to watch since where I work has a lot of that stuff going on. Not to that degree but the same idea.
The long day was over and it was time for bed.
There you are all caught up. Please take a look at the pictures of the Easel project and please visit the new blog to see the BBQ pics.
A night on the townSo last night we hopped on ol' Route 52 of the transit system and headed out to Bayer's Lake for dinner and a movie. We had some gift cards for Montana's so we headed there. I was very happy to discover the best wings I have had so far in Halifax. They were big and hot and tasty as can be. It was a good sign when the waitress warned me that hot may be too hot. They were big and meaty and reminded me of Einsteins in Toronto (yes Al it is true).
Katie had a salad that can simply be described as the biggest Cob salad ever made. It was the Michael Bay produced salad directed by Speilburg! This thing had its own area code. Katie put a huge dent into it but still did not feel like she had since the bottom of the dish was nowhere in site. I stepped in after a bit and at least found part of the dish.
We had a tasty dessert skillet thing with fruit and ice cream and at this point there was no room in our bellys. Excellent meal!
We next waddled over to the theatre (slowly, grunting) and picked up some tickets. As I mentioned in the previous post we went to see Thank you for Smoking. It was a good pick because this movie was excellent. I will not go into great detail but the writing and cast was amazing. It had some one liners that made the audience gasp in shock and laugh as well. Adam Eckhart was great. I highly recommend it and I know you will find a few laughs in there.
After the bus ride home we chilled out and watched some Entourage season 2 before crashing around 130. I woke up early however regretting the amount of food I ate but all is better now. I real cant eat like I am 22 anymore so I should really watch that. Takes longer to recover that is for sure. Katie is sleeping in as I am taking care of some blogging. We have a fun day planned today and it should be starting soon. You will have to check in tomorrow to see what we get up to.
On a side note the Raptors beat the Pistons last night after Rasheed embarressed Toronto shooting a shot with his left hand. The Raps, Mike James in particular, took offense to that and scored 39 points for the huge upset. The game means nothing in the big picture but at least the Raps showed that they wont take crap. THe season finally ends for them on Wednesday, then the classic hopes for the next season can kick in.
I hope you all have a good day.
April 14 Long weekend!Good Friday to you all I hope it is going well. It is a cool, rainy afternoon so I figured I would get some blogging in. Katie is enjoying a day off work with some afternoon Dr. Phil. This is a rare thing for the soon to be 30 year old nine to fiver who does not get to see the good doctor too often. I personally cant stand the guy but we look past this difference of opinion and still manage to stay together.
I was out doing some yard work even though its not that nice out. Mostly cleaning up after Bosco and trying to get all the leaves off the garden and grass so things can grow easier. I have added a few pics of the progress. The ones with Bosco are from last week and the ones without Bosco are today.
We may get some flowers or something to go along the fence next to the neighbours. It is always a gamble to put a lot of work into a garden when you rent. I am just exciting to make the space as nice as we call for many summer days/nights out there.
Yesterday we went to Canadian Tire and ordered a BBQ. If all goes well it is being delivered, fully assembled tomorrow. SO maybe, just maybe we can have an Easter feast from the fires of Kilne.
Let me think of any other news from the week? Work was ok, nothing too exciting. Things have died down with college ball ending and the NBA/NHL seasons coming to an end. As you saw in previous posts, Sports Direct Inc. is always an exciting place to be with a lot of action happening.
Tonight we are going to head out for a movie and some dinner. I think we are going to see Thank you for Smoking. If you want to see the trailer click here.
The rest of the weekend will be all about taking it easy and relaxing! I cant wait. Sunday I think Katie has a recipe to try out even if there is no BBQ.
It is now less than a week til we are hitting the Big Smoke so I hope everyone is ready for a visit. I am really looking forward to the weekend that is for sure.
anyways that is a long enough entry for today. Happy Easter everyone.
April 13 A year already? Can you believe it was a year this weekend that I first went out to Halifax! How time flies. Anyways here is a revisit of the trip according to my travel blog.
I am just starting out my long weekend of relaxing and such. The weather better be somewhat decent so I can enjoy the outdoors! I have to go do a few chores before I feel like a nap.
I am sure once I get a long enough break from using a computer I will be blogging again. If you are in need of something to read check out the DrHolmes blog.
That is all for now. April 12 Where I work is in the newscheck this out, where I work made the news! Also in the picture where the girl is sitting, that is where I sit! So now you all can see my set up and the four TV's that we watch the sports on.
I guess soup really is good foodLeamington tops ...
Canada's tomato capital -- Leamington, on the shores of Lake Erie -- has been named by MoneySense magazine as the country's top city. Five of the communities in MoneySense's Top 10 list are in Ontario, with Guelph second, Kitchener fifth, Cobourg sixth and Hamilton seventh. Lloydminster, Sask., was second, Grande Prairie, Alta., fourth, Red Deer, Alta., eighth and Calgary, ninth. Toronto finished 33rd out of 108 communities rated, dragged down by steep house prices and a dearth of people walking to work. Communities were rated for desirability based on the area's weather, population growth, household income, unemployment, economic diversity, house prices and whether people walked to work. MoneySense editor Ian McGugan said the magazine's first-ever attempt to rate communities has proven controversial. "We expected flak and we received it," said McGugan. "The West Coast does not seem to be happy." As was the case with Toronto, many B.C. cities suffered in the ratings because of soaring house prices. What makes Leamington so special? Key virtues include great weather (it's on the same latitude as northern California) and a low unemployment rate. In addition, its scores for household income and population growth are in the top 25% of all communities. "We certainly have a lot of large-city amenities and we still have that small-town atmosphere," notes Leamington Mayor John Adams, 61, a farmer and life-long resident of the city. "We have a fairly comfortable and fairly safe community." Adams says the MoneySense rankings have sparked calls to local realtors and the city's economic development office. "A lot of retirees are moving to Leamington for the weather and because the
U.S. border is only about 40 minutes away," said Adams. April 10 A rant? no way
Halifax Transit
So it has been six months now living in the city and for the most part I have had success riding the bus to work. I have heard that I have been lucky with a route that is pretty good for being on time. Most people cringe at the thought of taking the bus here and it is certainly a car kind of town. Maybe I was spoiled in Toronto with the TTC and how often it ran and how little wait time there was.
In recent weeks my luck has been running out and two recent incidents has me dreaming of driving days ahead. The most recent one was Saturday night at the end of my shift at work. The one bus that goes out to where I work runs every 30 minutes but on weekends it is up to an hour. So I am very careful to always be early at the stop and I am always calling the phone service that tells you when the bus will be at your stop. For months I have been doing this and have the thing down to a science.
So on Saturday night I leave work am out to the street at 9:05pm with the bus usually rolling by anywhere from 9:12-9:17. I wait and wait and wait and wonder if it is running late or what. I won't bore you with details but I ended up waiting for an hour until 10:12pm. At this time the bus pulls up and I get on.
I ask the driver if he was the same driver all night and if there was any problems with the route tonight. He says no and I said well no bus came last hour as I was there waiting. He told me I was wrong and said there was nothing he could do. That really helped my mood for him to say I was wrong and had not been waiting. Clearly he was too busy chatting it up with the weird lady in the front seat to even follow the times of the route and came way early.
This was confirmed to me as every stop on the route home had an hours worth of grumpy people waiting. I know it is not the end of the world but when you have just worked a 12 hour shift and you just want to get home cause you have to get up and do it all over the next day, wasting an hour is a big deal.
So I wrote down the time, route# and bus #. I emailed the Halifax transit and they emailed back that they would look into it. I highly doubt anything will be done but it was the thing to do to wash my hands of the whole pain in the ass incident.
Transit wants people to leave the car at home and help save the environment by taking transit. Well if schedules are made and there are detailed phone services telling people when the bus is coming, you have to follow it or people will find other ways to travel. Especially when you reduce service to once and hour to a large business area of town with a many stores and a movie theatre.
I for one cannot wait to get a car and never set foot on that bus again.
April 07 Friday free for allWell it is Friday and for most of the world this brings a lot of excitement and relief. For me it is the end of my weekend and back to work tomorrow! It is only for five days though and then it will be a nice long Easter weekend.
Last night we had the crock goodness meal I prepared yesterday and Katie gave it the thumbs up. It was pretty spicy and left a tingle in your mouth and lips. So here is the recipe if anyone is interested.

canned chopped green chilies (drained if you want) 114ml

dried oregano 2 ml

salt 2ml
pepper 1ml
Combine ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Pour over top of crock pot and stir. Cook on low eight hours.
Survivor was a good one last night, our two picks are still in it as it is now down to eight I think. I do not know how Katie and I do it but usually we pick two people that stay in the game pretty long.
I watched the first episode of season two of Regenesis. I am interested to see how they are not only because I liked season one but now because Katie's dad was the one who produced them. The first episode was good and I have to wonder how JPR got any work done around Caroline and Miko. I should of went into science if that is what lab people look like haha.
Not a whole lot going on today, it looks like it could be a nice day so I hope to get into the backyard and continue cleaning up. Maybe get the camera out.
I will most likely head up the road and pick up a movie for tonight but other than that, just relaxing at home and getting ready for the work week ahead.
Two weeks today we will be in Toronto so I hope you are all ready to have some fun, I know I am.
That is all for now, Bosh is shut down for the season so who cares about the Raptors now til next year. April 06 A day of firsts for BoscoSo today I finally got around to making Bosco an official Halifax resident! We went to the vet and got him his city tag and had a quick weigh in. Back up to 95 lbs but whatever because as I mentioned before those scales vary I believe. Tomorrow I could go in and he is 92 again. Anyways we got him registered with the city and now he is a member of the community! To celebrate we took a spontaneous walk instead of the usual park trip with the chuck it. I am sorry I did not have my camera but as I said it was not planned. I will being my camera next time on a much sunnier day. We walked around the Arm and back (see map) and found some water for Bosco to swim in. Yes he has now taken a dip in east coast water. He was very happy to chase sticks and think about going after some sea gulls. It was a long walk and now we are both home and tired and ready to have a lazy Thursday afternoon. I hope you are all doing the same.......the life of a dog is the way to go The Cusden ReportHere is the news for Thursday, April 6 , 2006.
Anyone else Lost?
Did anyone else watch Lost last night and wonder what is going on and where the story line is going? I have faith that it will make sense eventually but at this point it is easier to not question or try to figure it out and just watch. Next weeks previews looked pretty good so with less than two months to go I am sure things are going to get good. Nice to see Alias is coming back so they can wrap that up. As a long time fan I hope it is a good ending to what is a pretty good show.

I am about to go down and start cooking a crock pot dish for tonight. This one is called a Tasty Mex cassarole. I will let you know how it turns out and how people (Katie) likes it. It certainly sounds good with all the tasty ingrdients in it.
Why jog when you can blog?
here are some of the blogs I read that have been updated lately.
Six Month of the East coast life
I recently went over the six month mark of living in Halifax and looking back it still feels like it was the right thing to do. There are things I miss about Toronto but sometimes risks and new things are fun in life. The winter was pretty good from what I hear from the locals and now it is time for the good weather of this city. It was almost a year ago that I first visited and there are so many things I want to see and explore here. Granted I make less money but I am also spending less here. Funny how things have a way of working out. Bosco enjoys it here too and we just have to find somewhere for him to swim that is not salt water and all will be good.
What is up for today
Well as I already mentioned the cooking is up first so I can get that going. It says eight hours for cooking so I better get going. Then it will be the dog walk to get him all tired out and then the day can start. I have a few things left on the list I made at the start of my days off so I will probably just finish that off. I am sure at some point there will be some tv/movie watching or some video game playing. The weather can't decide if it is going to be nice or not so we will see.
That is all for today, keep it classy everyone.
